TUTORING

No matter if you are a beginner or already familiar with Swedish,
all private tutoring is held online and conducted during the day, Monday - Friday.
Classes are normally 60 minutes, once    or twice a week.  They can be one-on-one or semi-private.

Depending on the level of the student, a course book may be used to aid
with structure and natural progression, while in some instances other materials
may instead be used to improve skills.

The lessons can be on a fixed day and time each week, or be decided weekly
depending on the student's schedule.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Just like with group classes, private students pay in advance by booking four lessons    at a time.  Those four classes must be used within 3 months.
  • There are no reimbursements once a packet of four   private classes has been   booked and started.
  • In order for a class not to be forfeited, the students have to give a minimum of 12-hour notice to reschedule or cancel a class.
  •  For classes on location, student must give at least a    20-hour notice.

PROFICIENCY EVALUATIONS

When preparing to study or do research in Sweden you may need a   Swedish language evaluation.  When applying for a Fulbright scholarship or FLAS scholarship (Foreign Language Area Studies), you will be asked to demonstrate your   Swedish skills in four areas, regardless of level:
reading    comprehension, complexity of writing, listening apprehension and verbal expression.

For an evaluation, we would meet online to determine your skills in the above 4 areas. It takes approximately 3 hours to complete an evaluation.

CHILDREN

The child or siblings have to be at an age where they can handle class online.
The material and instruction will depend on the age of the child.
Time can vary from 30 min to 60 min per child.

SMALL GROUP CLASS

A small group consists of 3-4 students of the same level.
Class is conducted on an agreed upon set day and time each week.
Just like in a regular class, there are no make ups for when an individual of the group has to miss a class.

IMMERSION PROGRAM

For grant or master students studying   a   specific   area of Swedish culture, who need to fast track their Swedish language skills.  A special curriculum would be developed to cover their necessary requirements.

The fee is agreed upon   depending on the length of the immersion program, the number of hours and given budget.
