Group Classes in Swedish Conversation are offered in the summer on a weekly basis.
Since the most difficult aspect when learning a foreign language usually is speaking, the main focus of the summer classes are talking and listening, although articles and short stories may be the basis for discussions.
Students must already possess some knowledge of Swedish and be able to express simple sentences verbally in all tenses and have basic reading skills.
The conversation classes are of mixed levels, but students should be of at least Advanced Beginner level. These are very small and supportive classes. All classes are 75 minutes.
Summer of 2026 conversation sessions will be every other Sunday, at 11:15 am - 12: 30 pm.

September sessions September 13 In the conversation sessions students engage in conversations about anything from movies, books, to personal and special events. A lot of new vocabulary may come up depending on the topic of choice, but no grammar is taught other than what comes up in class. Focus is on speaking in order to develop already acquired skills and get more comfortable expressing ourselves in Swedish.
FORMAT All conversation classes are online, so anyone can join regardless of location. The student can sign up for one, two, or all weeks - consecutively or spread out - over the session depending on availability. If there for any reason is only one person signed up for a class on a specific week, time will be cut to a 45 min one-on-one conversation.
Pricing summer of 2024 You pick the dates you wish to attend, and although you can book one class at a time, you get a discount when signing up for several classes at once. The more classes you sign up for the greater the discount. Just specify the dates you wish to sign up for. The requested weeks does not have to be consecutive.
Discounted prices are only valid when signing up for all requested weeks at once. When signing up for one session at a time, the cost is $45 each time.
Payment must be made before the first class. Send an email with the dates you wish to participate.
Student must specify what weeks they wish to sign up for at time of enrollment and those weeks are binding. There are no refunds or make up classes.
