At this level the course focus is primarily on conversation. The students discuss various subjects brought up in each chapter via the informative texts. Topics span Swedish cultural and social life, wild animals, historical figures and politics, for example. The grammar is overall a comprehensive repetition of the beginner levels, while also introducing a few new things, like reflexive pronouns, the present participle and the conditional. Students will be required to read assigned easy read books over the course of the semester.
Pre-requisite: Completed the beginner A2 levels, or equivalent.
Intermediate 1 runs over three semesters and can be taken in any order.
