LEARNING A LANGUAGE

Picture
A game of Kubb.

When you embark on a journey to learn a new language you have to marinade  yourself in that language and culture. Find what you love about it and find  every opportunity possible to be around it. Try their food, listen to their  music and check out the public TV and Radio channels online. Go to an authentic  Scandinavian Restaurant or a Scandinavian event happening in your area. The more you come to understand, the more enthusiasm you will feel and the easier the  learning will be.

I expect nothing less from my students than their very best, under their circumstances and ability. To learn a language takes practice and ideally the student takes responsibility for their own learning and figure out a way of studying that works for them. Nothing is gained without effort. I am merely acting as a guide leading them forward. Above all, learning should be fun!

One part of this marinade is of course language instruction where you can learn
the structure and pronunciation of the language, along with huge amounts of
vocabulary. After all, a language is built around words and without them one
will never speak. Get inspired by looking through the photo gallery below.
