PRIVATE TUTORING IN VARIOUS FORMS
One-On-One via Zoom or Skype
Private tutoring of all levels are available.
The classes follow a text book and a work book for structure, but other resources like children's books, articles and internet may be added depending on the student's level and interests.
Private tutoring is conducted via Zoom or Skype, for the comfort of both student
and teacher. It works pretty much just like an in person meeting at a location in the city, except that there is a screen instead of a table between us, and homework is submitted via email. This also works well even if the student is outside of the
Tri-state area.
Classes can be twice a week, once a week or as rarely as once every other week depending on schedule and are usually 60 minute long.
When booking sessions the student purchase 4 classes at a time. All packages of four classes must be used within three months and payment is made via PayPal in advance. If choosing to pay per class, it is required to make a payment via PayPal at least 72 hours in advance and with an additional $10 PayPal fee added.
All classes online are subject to a 12 hour cancellation notice or the class will be forfeited. Classes on location require a 24 hour cancellation notice.
In instances of meeting on location an additional travel fee is added.
CHILDREN
Private or semi-private classes for children are obtainable. The activities or materials used are depending on the ages and skill levels of the children in the class. For very young children a class would consist of singing songs, story- telling, reading, drawing, games, arts and crafts for example, in order to learn the language in an as natural and playful way as possible. If the children are a bit older with reading and writing abilities the class structure may include more structural elements to keep the objective of how to read and write in Swedish.
Children's classes are held on location, in their homes.
IMMERSION PROGRAM
Grant students or master students are welcome. A special curriculum would be developed to cover their necessary requirements. The fee for the program would be worked out depending on time and requirements.
SMALL GROUP CLASS
A small group is considered semi-private. When a group of people, who already know each other, are on the same level, they can approach me about setting up a small group class, instead of one-on-one tutoring. I only arrange small group classes if a number of random people of the same level of Swedish approach me about classes at the same time, and enough of them are ready to commit to a specific day and time. An individual who is interested in a small group can always email their interest and they will be kept on file for when the opportunity arises.
The fee for a small group class depends a bit on the location and day/time.
A small group must consist of at least 3 students.

Swedish in the Summer
Wild Strawberries.
Group Classes in Swedish Conversation are offered in the summer on a weekly basis.
Since the most difficult aspect when learning a foreign language usually is speaking, the main focus of the summer classes are talking and listening, although articles and short stories may be the basis for discussions.
Students must already possess some knowledge of Swedish and be able to express simple sentences verbally in all tenses and have basic reading skills.
